Federal Taxation is weird these days. It's not like they need the money - they can just print whatever they want.

I can think of only two reasons to keep doing it: as a check on inflation and as a wealth transfer device.

I think a major tool that any new social media alternative should have is the ability to link your accounts from the popular platforms. That way it is easier to for your followers to find you and for you to find the people you follow.
