@michaelfolkson a good tip someone taught me here is: if i have a video on peertube i want to link, i can just paste the url into the search bar here on mastodon, and then it comes up as a post that i can re-toot. e.g. try this one:

(Tangentially: you may consider peertube, has clear limitations but it's also on the fediverse; for example I can retoot my vids here, my peertube account is directly accessible here).
