Unpopular opinion: bcash is the best thing that happened to Bitcoin

It has been a very bad execution of one of the most dangerous attacks Bitcoin could receive. Thanks to its inevitable failure, now also other better executed internal attacks are very likely to fail, increasing the robustness of Bitcoin


I think S2X's failure was even more powerful in this regard.

I wouldn't necessarily say either attack was poorly executed, despite their failure. I think both situations simply showed how strong the user-defined bitcoin network is, and the ineffectiveness of trying to force changes on it from the top-down.
