I'm so thankful to be raising my young children in a town that didn't feel the need to cower indoors for 12 months.

It's devastating to think about the many children in isolation whose social development was delayed for a virus that doesn't affect them πŸ˜”

Good writeup on how universal lockdown is probably breeding resistance to lockdown in the same way that antibiotic overuse breeds antibiotic resistant diseases.

Maxis praising BNB because they hate ETH disgust me. You can attack ETH for being a centralized shitcoin without propping up an even more centralized shitcoin. Rather than rightfully cutting down Binance for trying to profit from creating a shitcoin they own 90% of, we celebrate?

Since when did bitcoiners become so concerned about pumping the price that they're willing to prop up the enemy just to make a quick profit? I'm absolutely convinced that most of the influential "libertarian" bitcoiners would vote for big government if it meant number go up.

Despite the many claims made this week, btc mining is wasteful & really bad for the environment. But money printing enables big govt & modern warfare, which are far worse (for the env & so much more). If BTC even sort of stands a chance at replacing fiat, then it's so worth it.

I'm guessing that blog will be a difficult one to digest for many people. Let me try to explain one aspect of it: something which I personally found somewhat confusing (especially from reading BIP119, the OP_CTV proposal), but it's really important and useful to grok it: the "hash circularity problem".

So, remember the basic idea of transaction hashing: we sign a hash of the main info. that makes up the transaction, and we sign that hash using the private key of the utxo we're spending.

Twitter's "Trending" algorithms are way more dangerous than Trump's account ever was. They're only ever used to incite hatred and build mobs.
