Takeaways from the #taproot activation discussion:
1. Unanimous support for BIP8. RIP BIP 9.
2. Overwhelming consensus that 1yr is correct timeout value (it's actually defined in blocks, so 26x2016 or maybe 87600).
3. Majority consensus for lockin false, though @lukedashjr strongly opposed.
4. No decision I could see on start time, but 2 months was done for segwit, and that didn't seem too objectionable.

It's not only politicians and armies you'd have to fight during a protest anymore, it's also "too large to fail" (as in unnatural gov prop-up at this point) corporations that just want you to sit down, shut up, and consume.
When it's time for a real & active revolution, I'm very concerned for it's success.
That's why I'd prefer a passive revolution via Bitcoin. Wealth flip, defunding gov, etc.
Defense, not attack.
Private companies doing whatever they want sounds good in theory until you realize that YOUR private company was forced to shut down, and private companies that are friendly with the state are riding off the backs of your slave labor.
So. Many. Distractions.
Hard to go heads down and work on bitcoin right now, if I'm being honest.
@cycryptr my V3 bitcoin node is still going from the looks of it. Connected only to V2 nodes though, glad that’s still there.
My tor only lightning is also still working and I think that’s V3 too. Maybe new connections would be an issue since that’s addressable via V3.
The entire internet, tor included, is fundamentally broken and I’ve never been so discouraged.
My version of the Great Reset is “I will own nothing and it’ll be great” until Bitcoin is $1M and I will own the world.
