@christinabahk Thanks, appreciate the info. I suspect there's more going on than China wants to let on about. The extradition bill may be their first chess move to quell dissent after the fact when the peg evaporates.

@TallTim The thing I keep hearing form locals though its that the chart information is focused on "Excess reserves" which isnt actually reserves. So if excess reserves run out it doesn't necessarily mean the peg will drop. Although its questionable what the exchange rate has been at the lower end of the band for the last year and a half.

@christinabahk I guess we'll see when the wheels come off the cart. I think Kyle Bass is correct. The man has done his homework, and I've seen other things that he's worked on. It takes patience for the economics and market forces to finally prevail. Especially in a central planned economy.
