There are a lot of propaganda diagrams of Bitcoin forks, so I threw together a better one. Would love to hear criticism and you can also edit it on ppt if you'd like, here's a link: app.box.com/s/s9o371ise4n6biu5

BCash continues its death spiral against bitcoin, now at 0.08.

Yes that distinction is important, because true bearer instruments have all but disappeared from society, with the exception of cash which is restricted to very small amounts.

But, part of the relevance of my original comment in this thread is: there *are* cases of people losing substantial amounts of money to wire fraud, albeit it's rare and mostly restricted to businesses, not individuals; and the way it's done is via channels like email.

Wire transfer instructions received via unencrypted, unsigned email.

Nearly half a century after digital signatures were invented.

I regularly speak to friends over end-to-end encrypted messaging; some of the apps even have pretty simple, easy to use UIs.

Even if theoretically it's hard to make authentication work properly, it's a no-brainer that using public keys prevent a whole raft of attacks.

What the hell is wrong with people (and especially banks!)? Use digital signatures!

I always 'boost' not 'favorite' as I got the impression the latter doesn't spread/signal to others in any way ... Was I wrong?

Just bought my ticket to the Freecoast Festival in September. Anyone else going? I know there are a few FSP people here.

@btc During Craig's and my chats, he loved to tell me tales to impress me. If he had told anyone else the same stories, they would have bowed in awe and have. Strangely, my seemingly discordant life and the characters I've met enabled me to know for certain that he was a pathological liar. It was pretty funny when he told me he traded Satoshi's bitcoin to Saudi for Sharia Law code having no idea my uncle was the Crown Prince's best friend.

1) Satoshi bailed after Gavin went to CIA
2) CSW hates Gavin supposedly for "going to CIA" but:
3) CSW chose Gavin to vouch/verify his SN identity.
4) Gavin vouched using a 3rd party, unsecured computer and made a "mistake" about the key signature
5) Gavin claims "writing style" was same based upon use of "bloody".
6) CSW now blocks Gavin who has distanced himself.
7) Gavin, along with all of THEM signed an NDA ( I didn't.)

just some actual facts.

Ethereum Quiz: What does the "D" in DAO stand for?

...

WRONG you single-coin maximalist dictator, it's actually..

Facebook just removed a post about the US-assisted coalition air strike that hit a school bus in Saada, Yemen. This is what happens when we demand social media platforms suddenly become content curators.

This was the photo from the post.

Some guy just wrote an epic sob story in /r/bitcoin chat, followed by a bitcoin address. I deleted it. "Sorry Josh, no begging"

Didn't feel good.

I hope Josh's wife takes him back so he can see his three kids, get off the street, become un-handicapped, get his job back, and have his bank accounts unfrozen..

Finally releasing the first episode of my animated series exploring common Bitcoin topics from an approachable (and maximalist 😉) POV.
