Maps.me selling high-quality city guides within the app is a neat idea for financing a sustainable open-source app. Chapeau!

You can buy a bunch of guides for the price of a cup of coffee, and they work offline, too (same as the maps do by default). So the question for new visitors to a city is really why *not* to buy a couple of guides for the maps you're using anyway.
