Remember back when you could blow up a gas station with a cellphone.
The importance of #DYOR has become abundantly clear.
Question EVERYTHING.
"how did you know?"
"I looked into it - not long before I told you to look into it - and then you were too busy to look into it. Remember?"

Figure out Mastodon on a Pi over Tor
You can too! Here is the runbook:

My new instance is http://3vih3yegheqftg4pavy3v3vhf734zevwi3qbragl3uuc26cre7hk5hyd.onion
What I'd actually really like is a tutorial on how to set up an instance using Embassy from Start9.
I feel like my learning curve is going to become very steep in the next few days.
🚨 🚨 Mastodon instructional video thread!🚨 🚨
This is a short series of videos for those who need help getting Mastodon to be more functional.
Let's begin!
I've been thinking about it and I'm still concerned about Mastodon instances being a single-point-of-failure. I feel like we need some urgency implementing a contingency in the case bitcoinhackers.org is taken down.
We all know that bitcoin can't be stopped, but it can certainly be slowed down somewhat - particularly if this community's credibility is lost.
I can hear it now.
"If the community can be shut down, then bitcoin can be shut down too"
(I'm aware that statement is false)
Serious question.
Can Mastodon instances be 'ported' to another domain?
Ie. bitcoinhackers.org gets attacked/taken over/shut down.
Is there a way to transfer the server information to another domain.
This single-point-of-failure worries me considering our migration from birdsite and the cornerstone foundations of the citadel at this new and lovely community.
#bitcoin IS the stable coin.
Everything else is speculation.
