How many HODLED?

"everyone is a monopolist with a one-hundred-percent market share of one’s own product. Yet, this circumstance does not affect in the slightest that each entrepreneur must compete at all times with every other entrepreneur for consumer spending, regardless how unique or different one’s goods may be." - Hoppe

- Mastodon is a federated and open version of twitter. You can use choose between multiple different competing public and private servers called instances. You can also run and use your own instance which is best practice from a trust perspective. Users can interact and 'follow' across instances.

- DMs are not encrypted so instance admins can read them.

- The bitcoinhackers instance is run by @nvk who we trust to keep it up, protect our privacy, and to not censor us.

Imagine being Peter McCormack:

Finally, you get the holy blue tick and after a few days everyone leaves Twitter so the only thing you can do with that blue tick is arguing with @PeterSchiff about intrinsic value.

Think I hit my tipping point with Twitter / it's too far past the point of diminishing returns, and is only going to get worse from here on out. The world may be getting overrun by folks like this, doesn't mean I have to sit and listen to them.

I can’t help but wonder if we’re creating our own eco chamber.

It might serve to exacerbate the divide with those whom we disagree. 🤷‍♂️
